clean up old cache

How to clean up the old cache? In a month i have over 10mb in my gravatar cache directory

delete the files (ftp/ssh)... actually there is no function in the plugin doing this yet...

In some of my blogs with others plugins and a lot of comments, when change "caching time" display "saved options" and it's ok, but when refresh the page "caching time" is empty...

If enbale WP_DEBUG, can show;

"(cleanup is triggered every time the dashboardwidget or optionpage of glc is shown)" can be overload the server in some time that i don´t want, Is it better a option button?

php notice: the offset warning should be fixed in 1.1.3...

caching time: strange, do you use any plugins to enhance the security of wordpress? (on my blogs i can't reproduce this behaviour...)

cleanup: maybe it would be the better way on blogs with many comments (and gravatars)... but, if the button wouldn't be clicked often, this function may fail (timeout)... i'll think about a better solution...
