hi leute,

hab ut auf meinem Linux rechner installiert und habe das Prob, das ich es nur als Root spielen kann, scheint R'irgendwie mit dem Glide Treiber zusammenzuhängen....keine ahnung, da es als root läuft. Ich habe den 2.4 Kernel installiert und eine Voodoo2 Karte. mein User steht in der Grupper Games drinne.

das verrät dir was der fehler ist, 1. hat es keine erlaubniss die glide driver zu starten (permission denied)
und dann hatt es noch probleme mit dem sound, wobei ich denke dass es desswegen trozdem laufen sollte.

maaaaaan soll ich mich beim ut spielen nackt machen oder was?

den ganzen tag als root eingeloggt sein und das auch noch im netz....

was ist so schlimm daran "den ganzen tag als root eingeloogt zu sein" ??
und was hat das mit dem Netz zu tun ??!

ändere doch einfach die rechte mit chmod....

Das ding mit dem Speicherzugriffsfehler hab ich übrigens auch.... weis jemand was das soll ?? ??? ???

hmm, ich könnte mir vorstellen, das er den fehler bringt, weil er irgendwas nicht findet.
Der Speicherzugriffs tritt bei mir immer dann auf, wenn ich für ne bestimmte map keine Texturen hab und diese map spielen möchte.
Ansonsten läuft UT bei mir unter Linux.
versucht mal meine UnrealTournament.ini. Könnte mir vorstellen, dass es daran liegt:

hmm, ich könnte mir vorstellen, das er den fehler bringt, weil er irgendwas nicht findet.
Der Speicherzugriffs tritt bei mir immer dann auf, wenn ich für ne bestimmte map keine Texturen hab und diese map spielen möchte.
Ansonsten läuft UT bei mir unter Linux.
versucht mal meine UnrealTournament.ini. Könnte mir vorstellen, dass es daran liegt:

hmm, ich könnte mir vorstellen, das er den fehler bringt, weil er irgendwas nicht findet.
Der Speicherzugriffs tritt bei mir immer dann auf, wenn ich für ne bestimmte map keine Texturen hab und diese map spielen möchte.
Ansonsten läuft UT bei mir unter Linux.
